Did you know MHS Had
a school song? We not only did
we have one, we had TWO.
In 1938,
W. Little wrote the first Mimico High School Song and dedicated to Mr E.H.

On
the field or Campus - you may hear us sing songs of triumph ev -- er.
Thy loyal sons and daughters look to thee for that which is to be -- Our
Spirit wav - ers not in times of stress Colours all in-spir-ing -- Give hope
to fol - low thee through all the years of friend - ship dear |
Then in 1959, the MHS song was
revamped. Words by Helen Watkins and Inga Fjuk

We
sing of a school that is dear to our hearts, Of scholars and athletes the
best; Of Mimico High, flaunting red, grey and black, With a spirit that
stands every test. Then come, Marauders, we must lead our school, Let
victory be our cry; We'll cheer to see you fight to win And raise our
glorious colours high; We'll ever strive, we'll strive for Mimico To see
new honours won, To proudly write that name on history's page, And feel
our duty done. We will never forget, though the years go by Our school,
our pride, Mimico High! | |
