Deb DiGiovanni - Wood Deb, an MHS Graduate , 1980, is in the process of following her much anticipated music career. Her group, Wood, has recently published their first song on the web at Amazon.com Bio:
while growing up both girls discovered this cool female guitarist named Nancy
Wilson. Although the guitar bug had already bitten each of them, seeing Nancy
Wilson gave them their focus. They fondly refer to Nancy as 'god'! Deb split her
time between alto sax and guitar while in school. She was a featured performer
in assorted school bands and won numerous music awards for her sax playing. While
in high school she joined 'future flight'. After graduation real life got in the
way and Deb took time off from music. She re-entered the scene in '94 when she
saw an ad Su had placed in a local gig mag. The two have played together since.
Su didn't really go to school much, she was too busy playing guitar. She started
playing in bands around 18 when she met a drummer. Many bands later she decided
to focus more on originals and developing something that was right for her. Recently
she has found a passion for recording and set up a small studio in her house.
Most of her time is spent noodling around in the studio. |
